Back-to-back standout events for Life Sciences at Kelley, thanks to the one-and-only Eli Lilly and Company and an insightful lineup, including Stephen Schenk, Bram Brouwers, and David Birrer!
Stephen captured the ambition driving Eli Lilly’s growth, stating that it’s no longer enough for Lilly to be the best in pharma—they’re setting out to be the best company, period. How? By being fast, strategic, and focused on impact.
Here were some of my big takeaways. Lilly is:
▪️ Prioritizing high-growth markets and addressing unmet needs 🚀
▪️ Excelling in fast, safe asset development with the help of AI 📈
▪️ Investing heavily in R&D and sourcing talent through their venture arm, academic alliances, and corporate partnerships to incubate ideas 💡
▪️ Entering global markets and expanding indications to maximize impact, utilizing assets sooner and faster than ever before 🌍
Eli Lilly masterfully generates momentum around their mission to unite caring with discovery. They know their goals and competencies and are best-in-class at leveraging resources to get their products safely across the finish line and to consumers through creative platforms like Lilly Direct.
Perhaps the most impressive feat was that after an hour-long presentation, Stephen, Bram, and David stayed at large tables, answering questions from Hoosiers for over an hour! After the event, I enjoyed speaking with Kelleys like Maggie Burns, Haley Bandy, Roee Alper, Dylan Michel, Jay Zheng, Aishwarya Sahoo, Christian Onuoha, and Deniko (Niko) Montgomery about their takeaways. I look forward to hearing what others found to be most impactful as well.
Thank you, Eli Lilly for visiting!
